BISJ 1ST Team beaten in the Final on Penalties by Qatar!

We were so close, so very close!

What a soul-destroying way to get beaten.  We played our hearts out in the whole tournament and neither side could gain control in normal time.
Luke scored his penalty and there was nothing more he could do!  At the end of the first session it was a draw and we moved quickly to sudden death.  Their player scored, ours missed we came second in the most exciting football competition that I have seen this season!

Luke was top goal scorer and he played the most exciting football in all the matches.
Bring on Dubai!

Silver medal winners - we are so proud of them!

BISJ Win the semi-final to secure a place in the final!

In what proved to be the toughest game of the competition so far, it really was end to end play with neither team taking full control of the match.

BISJ scored the only goal in the second half from a great cross by Luke to Malek who scored with a precision shot.  The rest of the game was defensive play and we performed admirably.
BISJ Finished top of the group to get through to the finals!

Ok there is no photos it was far too exciting and I forgot to take some, sorry!

The Team - The Superstars!

The football tournament in Bahrain starts.

The whites were on the back foot for the majority of the game!  Wilson scored a fierce goal after 3 minutes.

Lovely Pass

Wilson was at the centre of the action again as he was felled by the number 2 for the whites.  The defender was quick to apologise and a penalty was awarded.  Wilson slotted the ball in the bottom left hand corner from a right footed kick.
Stunning Strike!

Penalty Kick

Fantastic Right Footed Strike!

That ball is flying!

The Goal Keeper had no chance!

Fantastic Goal!

The second game was against the reds and Wilson again proved to be the most valuable player.  He controlled the game with some great passes and scored by prodding the ball on the line!  The team played some incredible football to secure the victory keeping the reds in their own half for the majority of the game.

Lovely turn for the goal!

The third game was against the Yellow Bibs and Wilson dominated throughout.  He left the defence for dead in a stunning run which resulted in the goal of the tournament.  The play was fluid and the defence were excellent.  The goal keeper produced the save of the match late on and the team celebrated their victory in an unusual fashion.

Getting through the defence!

Getting passed the second defender!

Opening Matches for 2012

After a 3 week holiday with little or no football played it was pretty obvious that a few cobwebs needed to be blown away.

Match 1 was BISJ 1st team Vs. BISJ 2nd team.
Fantastic Strike - 1st Goal

BISJ 1st team dominated from the kickoff, with Captain Wilson putting in a sterling performance to score the opening goal in the 4th minute.
The team soon got into the game and played some great fluid football, with some fantastic passing and 1 touch skills evident.

BISJ 2nd team didn't get the opportunity to get into the game and  although they played quite well were easily beaten in the end 2 - 0.  The second goal scored by Laith late in the second half.

Match 2 was BISJ 1st team Vs. BISJ 3rd team.

Again Captain Luke Wilson led his team to a convincing victory against a tired 3rd team.  The previous performances from BISJ 3rd team have been impressive to say the least, with some great moves on the pitch.

This lacklustre effort was not impressive at all.  The 1st team scored some great goals and created some fantastic chances totally dominating the play.
